Many of his surgical techniques related to spine surgery and endoscopic surgery have been published in international journals. He has made significant contributions to the development of endoscopic surgery with new surgical techniques. He has organized numerous live surgical trainings both domestically and internationally on endoscopic spine surgery and scoliosis surgery. He has participated in many national and international meetings and courses, and has also organized numerous national and international meetings and courses.

Prof. Şentürk serves as an assistant editor for Turkish Neurosurgery and Türk Nöroşirürji Dergisi, and is also a reviewer for international journals such as the European Spine Journal, World Neurosurgery, and Turkish Neurosurgery. Dr. Şentürk has received several awards for TND presentations and has also won a scholarship for international training.

He is a member of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society, EUROSPINE, MESS, Turkish Spine Surgery Society, and the Spinal and Peripheral Nerve Surgery Group.

He holds two utility models related to spine surgery, and product development projects are ongoing.

Prof. Salim Şentürk has published 51 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and 15 articles in national peer-reviewed journals. He has authored 17 book chapters. He has made over a hundred oral presentations and posters at national and international meetings. Prof. Salim Şentürk has prepared a basic surgical video training set (29 videos) for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine pathologies.

He was appointed as a professor at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine in September 2025.
